About Aspirean

What does Aspirean Wealth do?

Aspirean Wealth provides investment management and financial planning, with tax and estate coordination alongside clients’ accountants and attorneys. Our work connects financial decisions to personal goals, while recognizing that investments carry risk and tax or legal outcomes depend on individual circumstances.

Why we exist

How do personal goals shape a financial plan?

A financial plan starts with what the money needs to support: spending, family responsibilities, a business transition, or another personal priority. Those goals give investment and planning decisions a purpose and a way to compare trade-offs.

A change in work, health, or family circumstances can change those priorities. Our services overview explains the planning areas that may be relevant, with the scope of an engagement agreed separately.

Working together

What should you discuss before working with us?

Discuss the work you need, how the relationship would be priced, and the interests that could influence advice. These questions matter when evaluating Aspirean as well as any other adviser.

Scope and responsibilitiesAsk which services are included, who handles each part, and which decisions remain with your accountant or attorney.
Fees and other costsAsk how advisory fees are calculated and which investment or account expenses may apply in addition.
Relationships and conflictsRead our Form CRS and Firm Disclosure, and ask how affiliations or financial incentives relate to the proposed work.

Who Aspirean is for

Which decisions bring people to Aspirean?

Our planning topics include family wealth responsibilities, business ownership transitions, and equity compensation. Each involves decisions about cash needs, investment risk, taxes, and who has responsibility for the next step.

If you are considering a sale, managing restricted stock units (RSUs), or taking on family finances, the starting questions differ. Explore our guides for business exits, equity compensation, and family stewardship to see how those decisions connect.

How it comes together

How do the planning areas fit together?

Investment, cash-flow, tax, and estate decisions can affect one another. Coordination means identifying those connections and clarifying the work for Aspirean, your accountant, and your attorney.

How do investments fit the plan?

Investment decisions sit alongside spending needs, time horizons, and the risks you can bear. Diversification can spread exposure, but it does not eliminate the possibility of loss.

What does financial planning organize?

Financial planning brings goals, resources, and competing demands into one discussion. Estimates rely on assumptions and need review as circumstances change.

Where does tax coordination belong?

Tax considerations can affect the timing and cost of a financial decision. Coordination with your certified public accountant (CPA) keeps the discussion tied to your facts and applicable rules.

How does estate coordination help?

Estate coordination connects financial accounts and family intentions with the legal work of your estate attorney. Documents, beneficiary choices, and circumstances require review; coordination does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Strategic partners

Which organizations have a role in our work?

Aspirean is a partner firm of Focus Financial Partners, works with account custodians, and uses Dimensional funds in many portfolios. These are different roles; an affiliation does not remove conflicts of interest or establish an investment outcome.

Partnership

What is the Focus relationship?

Aspirean is a partner firm of Focus Financial Partners. Review our Firm Disclosure and ask how that affiliation relates to the services and financial interests involved in an engagement.

Custody

What does a custodian do?

Charles Schwab and Fidelity provide custody for accounts used in our work. The custodian holds account assets and provides statements; the account and advisory agreements define each party’s authority and responsibilities.

Investment approach

Where do Dimensional funds fit?

Many of the portfolios we build use funds from Dimensional Fund Advisors. Funds carry investment risk and expenses; review the relevant prospectus and ask why a particular fund is being considered.
