Business owners & founders
We work with business owners preparing for a sale, buyout, or recapitalization. Planning typically starts 1 to 5 years before the event and can include QSBS §1202 exclusion planning, trust structuring, and coordination with your banker and attorney throughout the deal.
Equity-compensated executives
We work with executives holding concentrated company stock, RSUs, or options. This includes 10b5-1 plan design, staged diversification, and coordinated tax planning around vesting and sale timing.
Widows & families
We work with widows and families taking on financial responsibility for the first time, whether after a loss or to make sure both spouses are equally prepared. This includes estate settlement, income planning, and rebuilding a financial plan around your current situation.
Frequently asked questions
The things you’re probably wondering.
Do you have a minimum asset level?
Yes. We best serve individuals with at least $1 million in investable assets, including 401(k) plan assets, or more complex financial situations. Our minimum annual fee is $7,500 for clients below that threshold.
How are you compensated?
We are a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor and a fiduciary, paid via a percentage of the assets we manage.
Who holds my money?
Charles Schwab and Fidelity do. Your accounts are opened in your name and stay there, and Aspirean does not take custody of them. We manage the portfolio and place trades inside those accounts; the assets themselves stay with the custodian. Statements come from the custodian rather than from us, so you can see every position and every transaction for yourself.
